Parent Scheme is a groundbreaking strategic employee benefit aimed at working parents. Delivered through a desktop and mobile platform, the service uses a unique, gender-neutral graphic style and highly accessible content to help people navigate the complexities of parenting and work. It includes written resources, videos and interactive features.
We developed the concept, then brought it to life with design, web development, animated videos and interactive tools. We undertook extensive research to produce easy-to-read content with accessible formats. We also created a social media identity for Parent Scheme and run campaigns to connect with key potential clients.

Martel Instruments, an established North East specialist printer company, recently launched VIDA - an innovative digital upgrade for electronic devices. As part of VIDA’s launch, we redefined their message and created targeted marketing material. Our banners, brochures and user manuals have resulted in significant increases in enquiries and new leads. We also created their new website for VIDA, which brings their message to a targeted audience.
In the process, we reevaluated Martel’ s overall message. It was clear that they weren’ t just a printer company. Rather, their product offering enabled their clients to do more with their devices. To clearly communicate their new message, we improved their website including its speed.

To start with, we led a kick off meeting and undertook research in order to understand the brand and audience. Then, we created a message report and content strategy report. These reports were used to create compelling content and ensure the message and tone were just right. The web content factored in search engine optimisation (SEO), analytics and user experience. Acadian Software are an American private equity company. We were initially asked to help craft a name for the company. As part of the naming process, we worked with the founders to identify their key audience and message. First we identified their core values before expressing them in a clear, compelling and targeted proposition. We then took the founders through a guided naming process - which resulted in a name that expressed their philosophy and would be effective in communicating their unique selling points to their target market ('Acadian Software').
Acadian Software then asked us to develop branding, logo and brand guidelines. We began by developing a mood board based on the message and target audience. We then produced a number of logo, font and colour concepts, and went through several iterations, before finally selecting their current logo. We then developed a brand and style guide, and produced business cards, stationery and presentation templates.

We also created a content management system that made it easy for staff to update the site.
Durham Regatta is a rowing competition, dating back to 1834 - one of the most important events in the North East’s sporting calendar.
However the branding didn’t reflect what Durham Regatta wanted to represent – an elite yet friendly rowing event attracting many dedicated competitors and spectators. The existing website was unsuitable for their target audience, in both function and design.
We worked with them to focus on their message - who they are, what their brand is, and to whom they want to appeal. With this decided we provided strategic support, as well as a complete redesign of their website and logo. We used consistent, measured design to create professional branding, conveying that Durham Regatta is an elite event, as well as an accessible and informal one.
